We appreciated the ability to book the day before and the ability to get a guided tour. Having a guide brings to life the art of you aren’t an art history major; it provides you with insight and context to what we were seeing and how it related to o the we art

The tour was well organised and started on time. Pia, our guide, spoke excellent English and knew her art history as well as the history of the sculptures. You have to leave rucksack’s at the desk but the system is easy and quick so not an issue. The gallery has two floors and houses many Bernini sculptures including ‘Apollo & Daphne,’ which was the most beautiful work and my favourite. Pia explained the mythology behind each work and then pointed out interesting details by Bernini that you would miss otherwise. Each room is a feast for the eyes and the ceilings also beautifully painted. The two hour walk included at least 4 Caravaggio’s and 2 Titians which were breathtaking. If you like a museum that is not too large and a guided tour with an informed and knowledgeable guide, then this is for you!

Gallery was fantastic, my partner studied an arts degree and all of the people she studied were on display, 400 year old statues and art works on display, if you're a lover of art and sculptures this is a must see. Tour Guide was fantastic, very knowledgeable and due to our small group at the time was a very personal tour, spoke to us using our names, which, is not a big thing really, but majorly felt like one. Could not recommend highly enough
