Book your entry ticket to La Cité du Vin in Bordeaux, covering 18 exhibits on the theme of wine. Skip the line to enter, and then spend around 3 hours making your way through the exhibits with the aid of a hand-held digital guide available in 8 languages. Take a journey to the heart of the great history of wine. Through interactive spaces, explore vineyards all over the world, put your senses to the test, or learn a bit more about the fabulous process of winemaking. At the end of the tour, head to the 8th floor and its Belvedere for a 360-degree, panoramic view of Bordeaux and the surrounding area. Also, enjoy a glass of wine at a tasting session, choosing from a renewed selection of 15 world wines. After your visit, you can browse the on-site boutique, the wine cellar with a vast international selection, the restaurants (with one on the 7th floor offering a panoramic view), and the reading room.

Take a scenic drive to the beautiful wine region of Saint-Emilion on the right bank of the Dordogne River and tour this World Heritage Site. Experience the intimacy of the private chateau, learn the secrets of wine production, discover the vat room & cellar and taste some of the finest wines. Depart Bordeaux in the afternoon and visit a "Great Classified Growth" (Grand Cru Classé) wine estate overlooking the Saint-Emilion vineyards. Hear about the wine-making process and reward yourself with an aperitif served with quality fresh bread and cheese.   Learn the steps of proper wine tasting at a tasting class. Train your nose to identify wine aromas before enjoying some fine wines. Then, take a guided tour of the medieval village of Saint-Emilion, and discover why it was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Return to Bordeaux for a drop-off at the end of the tour.

During this tour, you'll visit two wineries with distinct winemaking approaches. First, explore a traditional winery with an authentic cellar and classic Saint-Émilion architecture, where wine is crafted in the region’s traditional style. Next, discover a modern winery that uses cutting-edge technology to innovate and refine the winemaking process, creating a contemporary style of wine. You’ll learn about each stage of winemaking, from the vines to the aging process. The tour concludes with a guided tasting of three Bordeaux wines, including Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, along with an introduction to wine-tasting techniques.

Depart from the city center of Bordeaux aboard a van to discover Saint-Emilion, its wines, and its history. Visit 3 wineries and relax with a picnic at a Château. First, learn about the history of Saint-Emilion, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and its historical monuments. Discover the secrets of this medieval town and its role as the birthplace of Bordeaux viticulture. At noon, enjoy a tasting of 3 wines at a Château winery. Indulge in a picnic from an artisanal and traditional caterer, who provides fresh, local products presented in jars, as well as charcuterie from the Basque Country, and cheese accompanied by a glass of wine. Afterward, visit a second Château winery and enjoy a tasting of 2 wines. Learn more about the specificities of this appellation, including the grape varieties and the winemaking techniques used to create these unique wines. To finish the day, go to last Château for a final tasting of 3 wines.

From November to March : 1 departure per week on saturday at Saint-Emilion. From April to October : Take a few hours to see the Bordeaux wine country on a guided tour. Discover Medoc, Saint-Emilion, Graves, and Sauternes or Entre-deux-Mers — each with its own charm. The wine region depends on the day of your visit. Depart from the Bordeaux Tourist Office and discover different types of châteaux and taste the colors of the wines according to the wine region. During the trip, your guide will explain Bordeaux wine and give a lot of information.

Spend a day exploring the wineries and vineyards in Bordeaux on a guided wine tasting trip. Sample wines at three wineries and tour the historic town of Saint-Emilion. Savor local specialties during a picnic at a Château (winery). Depart from the city center of Bordeaux to discover the most beautiful vineyards of both banks. To start, visit Saint-Emilion with your guide. Tour the village, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and discover its historical monuments. Later, visit a Château (winery) and enjoy a tasting of 3 wines while learning about Saint-Émilion. During your tasting, your guide will prepare the picnic served at a lovely table during which you can enjoy a glass of wine from the Château. Enjoy food prepared by an artisanal and traditional Bordeaux caterer who offers fresh, local, and tasty products as well as Basque country charcuterie and cheese. In the beginning of the afternoon and after an-hour drive to go to the left bank, enjoy a visit and a tasting of 3 wines in a family running winery from the famous Médoc area (especially the Margaux appellation). Then, stop by the famous Château Margaux and take photos before heading to a third winery (classified in 1855, the Napoleon classification) where a commented wine tasting is waiting for you. Finish your tour with a new perspective on the art of winemaking.

Begin your wine tourism experience with a picnic, enjoying a scenic view of the vineyards from our outdoor terraces accompanied by a glass of wine. Choose from a selection of dishes prepared with regional products, including gourmet options such as chicken, duck, pork, as well as vegetarian and vegan alternatives according to your preferences for the day (appetizer, main course, and dessert included). After this experience, you'll be prepared to explore two Saint-Emilion Grands Crus Classés properties in a single visit: Château Tour Baladoz: Tradition and authenticity lime-stone estate, where you learn about the production process, from grape harvesting to bottling. Château La Croizille: Known for its innovative approach to winemaking. You'll learn about different production techniques and enjoy one of the most beautiful panoramic views of the Saint-Émilion region. Finally, the tour will conclude with a commented tasting of 3 great wines from Bordeaux, including Saint-Émilion Grand Cru.

Depart from the city center of Bordeaux and enjoy a scenic tour that takes you to prominent chateaus in the region. Taste wines, and learn about the unique qualities of wines produced by these appellations. At the 5th Grand Cru Classé, discover the history and architecture of the Château as you try its unique wines. Begin your tour with a visit to the Margaux appellation and learn about the history and methods they use in making their wines. Head to the first Chateau, and admire the surrounding vineyards while you learn about the different grape varieties used to produce the wines of the Margaux appellation. Take the opportunity to discuss with wine experts who will explain the production and winemaking techniques. Then, pass by the famous Chateau Margaux, and take a photo before going on to your second guided tour in a 5th Grand Cru classified Chateau. Discover the history and architecture of this iconic Château while tasting at least 3 of their wines. Take a half-day tour to the charming village of St. Emilion, and sample a selection of wines. The history of the village goes back to medieval times, and the whole jurisdiction is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its natural landscape. Upon arrival in the village, embark on a guided walking tour. Explore the charming lanes, Romanesque churches, and ruins that stretch along the steep and narrow laneways. It was the Romans that introduced wine making to the village as far back as the 2nd century. Reminders of the Roman techniques of wine planting can be seen in some of the estates, such as Chateau Bellevue, owned by the world-famous Angelus winery. The village was named after the monk Émilian, a traveling confessor, who settled in a hermitage carved into the rock in the 8th-Century. Follow your guide for a walking tour of the village to discover all the main attractions.  Then, enjoy a visit and wine tasting session in a Classified Growth Chateau of the Saint Emilion wine region. During the visit, you will learn all there is to know about the estate as well as the techniques used to produce this world-famous wine. From here return to Bordeaux.

Then, stroll through the village to experience its many charms before an additional wine tasting, Discover a village of Romanesque churches and ruins that stretch the length of the steep and narrow streets.  Finish the afternoon at a family-owned winery where you’ll be offered delicious specialties of the region, such as local cheeses and cured meats that complement the wines – a perfect way to experience the French lifestyle!
