What to Expect
You’ll be picked up in Bordeaux in the morning and depart for the small and charming medieval village of Saint-Emilion, listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. On this full-day tour you’ll enjoy a walk along the town’s cobblestone streets and discover the architectural heritage of the town and the surrounding area.
Located just a few minutes from the heart of Saint-Emilion, Chateau Villemaurine hides an unsuspected richness: a unique network of quarries. By the light of your guide's lantern, you’ll enjoy a lively walk into the depth of the underground quarries. The walk includes a tour of the vat room and other technical facilities and ends with a tasting of 2 wines.
After lunch you’ll meet the winemaker at his estate, learn about the production of fine wines, and enjoy tastings at 2 different St. Emilion Grand Cru Classé chateaux.
