We highly recommend the wine tour to St. Émilion. Our guide, Francois, was exceptional — friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate, making the experience truly memorable. With Francois, we visited two vineyards in a relaxed and small group setting. The first stop, a slightly larger estate, focused on the winemaking process — from grape cultivation and fermentation to aging, bottling, and understanding wine classifications — ending with five generous tastings that brought the education to life. The second vineyard, a smaller family-run estate, offered an equally wonderful experience. There, we learned how to determine the age of red wine, with tastings thoughtfully paired with local cheeses and tapenade. The walking tour through the charming village of St. Émilion was both scenic and historically informative. Francois shared great recommendations for where to enjoy food, desserts and wine during our free time. It was the perfect way to start our first visit to this beautiful wine region.
