What to Expect
Depart from your hotel or accommodations in Bordeaux - or from a cruise ship docked in Bordeaux. You then drive about 1 into the Medoc Peninsula Northwest of Bordeaux. Here, you have the chance to visit local wineries and take vineyard tours. You can also enjoy several wine tastings.
You visit the town of Pauillac, St Estephe, St Julien, and Margaux, before driving East of Bordeaux to St Emilion. There you may choose to visit the famous monolithic church. St Emilion is a lovely medieval fortified hilltop city - its a great place to stop and enjoy a nice meal, shop for souvenirs, and sample the amazing wines grown here in some of the oldest vineyards in France. At the end of your trip you return to Bordeaux.
