The tour was great! We had a comfortable tour bus and a very nice and funny driver Irgwin. He didn’t speak a lot of English but was willing to try to speak slow and easy Spanish 🙏🏼 The ride to the 2 sites was very beautiful! Also the boat ride is an absolute pleasure! Very nice views! At Yakchilán we got 2.5 hours to spend. Without a guide (this is optional, we didn’t take it) this was quite a long time. At Bonampak we got 45 minutes, which was fine! Gorgeous wall painting at this last site! On the way back we took a few people who did the overnight stay the day before. Their accommodation was in a small village and seemed nice. We would probably have done the overnight stay in hindsight. It did take a while to pickup and drop off everyone.
