What people are saying about Bologna

Food experiences were great, Ferrari experience a bit of a let down...

All the food centric options of this tour were incredibly enlightening and enjoyable. The tour guide Max was obviously passionate, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the produce from the region. We learnt a lot and tasted some incredible cheese, prosciutto and traditional balsamic vinegars. The second half of the tour was less enjoyable though. The visit to the Ferrari museum felt more like an afterthought and it was apparent the main attraction of this part of the tour was the chance to drive a Ferrari from a test drive centre. We thought it was just a trip to the Ferrari museum but weren’t able to get to the museum before going to test drive place first, where they were charging €120 for a 10 minute drive. By the time we actually got into the museum we had a short time in there before getting back to the bus and subsequently had to wait until other members had finished their test drive before we ate lunch. Overall the first part of the tour was great but let down by the second half

We had a wonderful tour of Bologna with our guide, Gabriele.

We had a wonderful tour of Bologna, with our guide Gabriele. Gabriele met us at our apartment and began to introduce us to Bologna. For two hours, we walked through the streets and alleys of Bologna. We obtained a very good sense of city’s history and it’s growth through the years, in addition to visiting many of the important churches and other historical highlights. Gabriele is very knowledgeable and very passionate about his city. We greatly enjoyed his easy-going manner and communication style. We would recommend Gabriele to those wishing to obtain and good overview to the city and it’s history.

An excellent orientation to the centre of Bologna

Our tour guide, Giulia, was extremely knowledgeable about Bologna and it's history and architecture. Altho' the day was quite chilly and windy, we all stuck it out and thoroughly enjoyed seeing Piazza Maggiore, San Petronio Basilica, the 'donkey' towers, the old university and the anatomical theatre, the seven churches and Santo Stefano basilica, Palazzo Salina-Amorini and all the faces, the market, and the kilometers of arches. All in all, a great tour.

Two hour overview was a perfect taste of Bologna

Gabriele was a fantastic addition to our quick city trip to Bologna- a city to which we have never traveled. We needed an insiders approach and information for an in-front-of AND behind-the-scenes overview. Gabriele did not disappoint! He provided exactly what we requested and was a welcoming and pleasant local host to his city. We will definitely connect with him for a more in-depth program when we return!

Excellent tour with an entertaining and knowledageable guide

memorable tour with Fabio as our tour guide - he was engaging and knowledgeable throughout all the places we visited. We had an international group of people, and the size was just right for this trip (any bigger and it would not be that good). Fabio engaged everyone during the tour and for us was an excellent guide. The lunch we had was unexpected in it's quality and service.
