Guided Tour Exhibition Alfredo Pirri. Portrait of the Palace

Guided Tour Exhibition Alfredo Pirri. Portrait of the Palace

Yet another great artist is invited to exhibit in the splendid sixteenth-century spaces of Palazzo Boncompagni in Bologna: after the exhibitions of Michelangelo Pistoletto, Marino Marini Aldo Mondino, and Mimmo Paladino, the Palazzo Boncompagni Foundation is now organizing an exhibition of works by Alfredo Pirri, an internationally renowned artist. The poet Sandro Penna imagined his house invaded by happy young people who, like beautiful and innocent dogs, happily put him to rock leaving a portrait of that event, an additional photo to add to others he kept in the messy rooms at home... Like the poet at home, the master Alfredo Pirri has seen with his mind and senses the majestic Palazzo Boncompagni invaded by young and beautiful boys. Those guys exist, they move everywhere, are from different eras, and they remember the characters of the drama by Eduardo De Filippo entitled "These Ghosts." With the exhibition "Alfredo Pirri. Portrait of the Palace," the artist wants to offer an additional habitat to their desires; the works are here exposed for them to entertain with them an exchange, a dialogue. The personal exhibition of Alfredo Pirri is a living portrait of this exchange, the portrait of a palace that depicts all the forces that inhabit it. The exhibition is divided into several areas that, when touched, disappear in the other.

Marco was fantastic. Due to a train’s strike, the first train was cancelled but I was able to take the next one and the agency helped me to join the guide. So I just missed the introduction and was able to visit all the monuments with the guide. The return train was also cancelled but that gave me time to explore a little more the town by taking the next one. Thanks to the staff to helping me finding the guide.

Maria our tour guide was very charismatic and passionate about the places. She gave us a very informative background about Bologna. This tour was worth the money. The only drawback was the meeting point as it took us to another kiosk.

A very nice and knowledgeable guide showed us Bologna and gave us tips. It was a great experience and a lot of fun and also very informative. The view from the bell tower was also very beautiful. It's worth it!
