The experience of the Asinelli towers & Food Tasting was fantastic. I met the tour guide 15 mins before the tour started and then waited in the queue to go up. It is a very large number of steps to ascend, but it is totally worth it and the view at the top of Bologna is spectacular. You can see Bologna from all 4 sides. I would highly recommend it. The food tasting happens separately to the Asinelli Towers and I was provided with 2 vouchers - one for a slice of pizza at a local eatery and another for a cake/biscuit in a small pasticerria nearby. You can use these at any time and there is not an expiry date. It is basically a free lunch and they vary from tour to tour.

To sum up, is a quick meeting with the turistic operator. She will advise very usefull information and provide both tickets for the tower and voucher for a mortadella taste in a typical fast food resto in the city centre, and another for a typical icecream. Both were good and we enjoyed them. It is not a tour. Just information sharing, as very well mentioned in their offer. But very nice advise and help.

The tour of the tower is good. It is simply a matter of climbing the almost 500 steps. You can scan a QR code for information (sound recording of a little over 2 minutes...) The tastings consisted of a slice of pizza and an ice cream, both very good and more than enough for a meal.
