Your highly-trained English-speaking guides and mechanics will give you all the assistance you need to get down safely, comfortably, and with amazing time. Your guides have been riding this road for over 20 years, and know how to get it done with utmost safety and security. Drive up from La Paz, Bolivia, and begin biking at wind-swept La Cumbre at 4700 meters altitude. At this height, you’ll get fantastic views of a number of snow-covered peaks. From here, descend rapidly down a twisting asphalt road among mountain peaks, grazing llamas, alpacas, and tiny villages. Stop for refreshments, photos, and rests along the way, all the better to give you time to take in the scenery: towering cliff faces, dramatic drops and even greener vegetation. This will give you time to prepare yourself for the next breath-taking section of the ride. Descend even further, and after a brief undulating section of the road, you’ll enter the jungle itself and the most challenging part of the ride. This infamous narrow dirt road is cut precariously into the side of the mountain and descends 2000 meters in altitude. Ride on through mist, low cloud, and dust. As the end gets near, it gets progressively hotter and dustier. By the time you arrive at the bottom in Yolosa, you’ll be hot, dirty, and exhilarated, having conquered Death Road with no fear. Just around the corner, you’ll visit La Senda Verde Animal Refuge to enjoy a buffet lunch and take in the magnificent scenery and the animals of the Yungas. Great tour! We went to 5 different spots with yummy food and there were even vegetarian options for me. The guide was very knowledgeable and shared a lot about the food and the culture of Bolivia and even shared more information e.g. about sights that we passed or the history of Bolivia. We really enjoyed the tour!

There was a delay in the hotel pick up, but after that everything went perfectly. Knowledgeable and personable guide (Abner). Abner was very organized about what to expect - various pick up and transfer arrangements, clear, thorough. Very pleasant

Our guide was friendly, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable, including about lots of general Bolivian topics - a highlight was the cable car tour around the city as the views you get are amazing!

Guide was there with good guidance at all times. Biking this death road was amazing for sure!

The Guide and driver were exceptional- it was a long day but very well paced.
