From Bohol & Panglao Island: Full-Day Bohol Tour

1. From Bohol & Panglao Island: Full-Day Bohol Tour

Explore some of the Philippines’ most beautiful landscapes and countryside in this tour of the island province of Bohol. Start with a visit to the Blood Compact Site in Tagbilaran City, and see the place where the Spaniards and Filipinos created friendly relations and ties through a blood ritual. From there we will head towards the Baclayon Church and Museum in the town of Baclayon, considered one of the oldest stone churches in the Philippines. Admire this old stone church and its religious relics dating back to the early 16th century. Later, watch local craftsmen as they make bolos and other handmade metal crafts in the town of Loay. See local men and women weave Nipa leaves into roofing materials, before visiting a typical Boholano home, the Clarin Ancestral House. Walk along the Loboc River, and keep your eyes open along the water for a Tarsier, the smallest monkey in the world. Feel the coolness of the air and gaze at the thousands of painstakingly planted mahogany trees in the man-made forest of Bilar. From there, feast your eyes on the breathtaking Chocolate Hills, a collection of over 1,200 clustered green hills that turn brown during dry season. This amazing site has been proposed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Finally, enjoy a relaxing cruise along the Loboc-Loay River, and take in the beautiful panorama of Nipa palm trees. Enjoy lunch on board during the cruise, and watch the amazing landscape pass by.

Your Bohol Island journey won’t be complete without visiting its spectacular marvels. Bohol Island is the home to the famous Chocolate Hills, the smallest primate in the Philippines (Tarsiers), some of the most magnificent beaches and much more. There we’ll get a glimpse into the deep history of the Philippines through local artisan craftsmanship. Then, we will continue to the Loboc River for a short cruise or a SUP tour instead – for the more adventurous among us. We’ll then visit the tarsier sanctuary and learn about this protected and peculiar primate that also serves as the province’s tourism symbol. This will be the perfect time for lunch, which we’ll have at the foot of the Chocolate Hills, and enjoy Filipino specialties in a local restaurant. We’ll visit the main view deck for a scenic view of the 1,776 almost identical hills or choose to see the hills via a thrilling ATV ride. On the way back, we’ll make a quick stop in Baclayon Church – one of the oldest churches in the Philippines. What people are saying about Bohol

Overall rating

Notes on the outfit should be included in the description, as there is a quad tour at the Chocolate Hills, which costs another 1000 pesos plus a 100 pesos fee per person. Otherwise, the day trip was very nice, we were only our group (four of us), everything was planned so that we are not there at the main tourist times. You can see many animals in a park (including the lemurs), the guides take photos during the quad excursion, etc. Our tour guide, who took us from one highlight to the next, was absolutely great! She told us a lot about life in the Philippines, traditions and history - we were able to learn and take a lot with us on the trip.

It almost doesn't get any better!

There were only two of us on this tour plus our tour guide - thus private transfer :-) We learned a lot about the island of Bohol, Panglao and also about the history of the Philippines. Tour guide was very well prepared and was able to answer any question. We were at the Tarsiere, Chocolate Hills, Butterflyfarm and on the river for lunch. In the afternoon we saw a church from the 15th century. This excursion was really great!

Amazing tour of Bohol must see areas with a knowledgeable and friendly tour guide who will know how to make you feel comfortable and have a good time on Bohol island. It worth the trip and the experience to see the little tarsiers - chocolate hills - man made forest - Loboc river and so on. These places would have been hard to visit by ourselves. We highly recommend this day trip with this agency.

Excellent tour. Only problem was that the contact numbers provided did not work, however the car and guide showed up as scheduled. This is our third time to Bohol and we truly enjoyed this tour.

wonderful tour. Vanesa very nice and pleasant. He taught us and explained many things about my city. An excellent deal. 100% recommendable!!!
