Private Zipaquirá and Salt Cathedral Tour Benefit from pick-up at your hotel in Bogotá at 09:00 AM or a time to suit you, and then journey to the colonial town of Zipaquirá, famous for its Salt Cathedral. Relax on the 60 to 90-minute trip to the cathedral, where on arrival you will be accompanied to the entrance of the mine for a 2-hour guided tour in English or Spanish.  Located inside the depths of the world's biggest salt rock reserve, Zipaquirá Salt Cathedral was adapted from an old salt mine to function as a place of worship. Marvel at the icons, ornaments and architectural details hand-carved in the halite rock. Surface the mine to enjoy a typical Colombian lunch in one of Zipaquirá's best restaurants. Choose from fish or vegetarian options, or savor different plates of meat prepared in the traditional way on fire. Then, explore the main sights of the town, including Independence Square and the colonial center. Admire one of the oldest churches in Colombia. Places you MUST visit while you in Bogota

The tour was extremely nice and interesting. I am very satisfied that I decided exactly on that trip. Sergio - my guide, was very helpful and told me all stories around places I saw, Colombia itself, culture and history. He spoke English very well. He even know couple words in Polish what makes me feel very comfortable Tour was arranged perfectly. I was collected from the hotel, plan of sightseeing was presented to me by Sergio at the beginning, we visited all places, ate lunch in traditional Colombian restaurant and were able to do some shopping It was a really great choice and recommend that option to everyone who wants to see the real heritage of Colombia! Pozdrawiam!

This tour far exceeded all expectations. Jhon Fredy was an outstanding guide who spoke excellent English. He was a very knowledgeable, personable and talented young man who helped make this tour one of the best one day tours I have ever experienced. A wonderful tour with the best guide and a great driver.

SAFETY PIN

It is a must, it is an impressive cathedral, the distance from Bogota is short (1 hr), and the walk through the Cathedral and Zipaquirá require adequate time to visit everything in one day and return to Bogotá in the afternoon. Friendly and well guided tour, and ended with a delicious lunch in Zipaquirá. I really enjoyed it, it really is a must-see tour.
