Full description

Go on a guided walking tour through Bogatá’s El Paraíso favela district. Hop on a cable car, meet with community leaders, learn about the local life, and see technicolor graffiti-filled walls.

Start your journey with either hotel pickup, or transfer from the meeting point, accompanied by your guide. Arrive at the cable car station and begin your ride up the hill to El Paraiso.

Takin in the panoramic views as your soar over the city. Gaze down at the colorful houses, and get a bird's eye view of the harsh living realities faced by the residents.

After your ascent, head off on a walking tour with your local guide to get a feel for the neighborhood. Wander the bustling avenues, spotting street art among the neon-painted houses and narrow boulevards.

Meet local community leaders in charge of local residents learning about the positive changes that are being put into place to help revitalize this vibrant, yet underserved district. Very good tour and great way to see a less visited area of Bogota as this is not the typical ‘go-to’ place. Samuel and Jairo are both very good guides - very communicative and knowledgeable of the area, and felt safe at all times. Also had a nice laugh! Would definitely recommend!

This was an interesting and educational tour with plenty of sights to take pictures. It turned out to be a private tour as I picked a 7am call time and no else signed up (thanks for not cancelling). Samuel and the local Paraiso guide Yon were great company. Can’t beat the view from the top, I also like the neighborhood murals and exploring the local streets. If you’re lucky you’ll also be accompanied by huge & friendly dogs throughout the walk!

The personal and private tour was one we not forget for a long time The experience and knowledge of Samuel was of the culture and area was very informative . His kindness and attention to making sure it was great experience is appreciated. We also had a snack in one of the local coffee shops which just topped off the experience.
