Full description
Join us on our Coffee Farm experience as we set out from the center of the city and head an hour and a half deeper into the mountains of Bogotá! We will start the day by enjoying a traditional Colombian breakfast together and then go to meet our local farmers. We will discuss what it means to be an organic coffee farm and what the daily tasks of a farmer look like. Walk around the farm and take in the more than 8,000 coffee plants. We’ll learn how to hand-pick coffee and process it, and then afterward we will enjoy a delicious cup of coffee prepared in a unique way. If the weather and season permit, we will even get to plant our own coffee! We wrap up the tour with local cuisine for lunch and began the trip back to the city, making brief stops to take pictures of the Paramos ecosystems and the picturesque Bogotá city skyline. Total duration: 7-8 hours.

The coffee tour is a must do! This was our 2nd experience with Freddy and it was a great day. I loved going to a smaller organic farm vs a big manufacturer to see how they make coffee in the traditional way. It was a great scenic view to the town where the farm was and a great learning experience. Any tour from the true Colombian experience is a great option.

The tour was AWESOME! Fredy, our tour guide is very entertaining and knowledgeable with a great deal of knowledge about the country, the city of Bogotá, history and coffee. He also listens well to the group so that you have a real conversation all the time. Marcela, the owner of the finca, is the perfect host who shows the love for coffee and the care with which she cultivates organic coffee. She enjoys the visitors as much as a cup of good coffee, which she prepares before our eyes. For 5 years I have not been drinking industrial coffee for ecological reasons. I could enjoy every sip of this coffee with a clear conscience. The driver deserves at least an equally commendable mention. It was the day of a bike festival and another festival, so the already difficult mountainous road was crowded. He mastered the journey with great care and serenity. Definitely recommendable tour !!!

I reccomend it a lot. The guide was brilliant and very informative. The farm was organic and it was a fun experience picking coco beans. Breakfast with the farmer was enjoyable and a local restaurant for lunch for a traditional colombian lunch. Everything was so authentic which is exactly what i want to get out of an experience.
