We loved walking in these exceptional gardens, and we wished we had more time. Booking in advance is probably only necessary is you enter by the Pitti Palace. Other entry points had no lines. But the views were delightful, and walking in in the gardens made for a relaxing respite (albeit one filled with walking) in the afternoon.

The gardens are a lovely walk with amazing views, especially the Gentleman's viewpoint, stunning. Disappointed that most of the fountains were not working and that the general maintenance of the gardens and stairs was poor ( weeds everywhere). It could be so much better. But still it ws one of the highlights of our trip.

Beautiful and enjoyable if you like to stroll in nature. Kinda expensive I think, but I also got the skip-the-line pass which meant was nice, so maybe it was worth it? Regardless, note there are lots of steps and inclines, so don’t be do it if you are the type to huff and puff on anything that isn’t flat land.
