Trou d'Eau Douce: Southeast 5 Island Adventure

Trou d'Eau Douce: Southeast 5 Island Adventure

Embark on a trip by speedboat and visit the entirety of Mauritius' southeast coast and the nearby islands in one day. The tour includes not only a visit to the famous Ile aux Cerfs island and the pristine cascade of the Grande River South East, but also to Ile aux Phares and Ile de la Passe, providing an opportunity to learn a bit of the history of Mauritius in the colonial period. The site of Ile aux Phares is where, as the name suggests, an old lighthouse dating back more than 200 years stands, now declared a historical monument. In 1810, Ile aux Phares and Ile de la Passe were the theater of a battle between the French and the British, known as the naval battle of Grand Port, which is the only victory of the Napoleonic Navy and is also listed on the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. In addition to the historic aspect of the islands, you will be made privy to a striking sight within the water. The contrast between both sides of the island is breathtaking: on one side you will find the lagoon turquoise and calm, and on the other, the big waves of the Indian Ocean smash against the breakers of the island. You will then go to Ile aux Aigrettes for a swim then back to Ile aux Cerfs, where lunch will be served. Relax and sunbathe or just chill out on the beach or in the crystal clear water of Ile aux Cerfs before returning to the meeting point in Trou d'Eau Douce.

Hands down one of the best things we’ve ever experienced, if you’re in Mauritius you definitely need to do this. From start to finish everything was perfect, from seeing multiple dolphins and turtles to a delicious lunch, we couldn’t fault it! And our tour guide, what can I say, he was an absolute dream who made our day so special

I loved the history of the barrier reef and the actual snorkeling experience. The crystal blue waters and swimming with fish was spectacular. The guide was great and the experience enjoyable.

Lunch on the beach was fantastic both for quality and quantity. It would be appropriate to offer a significant discount for families with even older children, such as paying for 3 for 4.

Gregory was excellent as a guide, took us to some great places to snorkel

Great experience. super friendly guide and staff. would do it again!
