Black River

Begin your 7 to 8 hours tour: Dolphin swimming, Crystal rock, Benitier islet & lunch with a complimentary hotel pick-up at your accommodation anywhere in Mauritius. You will meet and be greeted by our certified guide and after boarding to your comfortable vehicle, we will set off at La preneuse/ flic en flac, a village nestled in the west of Mauritius. Arriving there, you will board to your speed boat & start cruising to the open sea to see & swim with the dolphin. While cruising, our skipper and guide will explain to you how to approach these beautiful mammals and swimming rules to respect these lovely dolphins and their natural environment. Arriving at the spot, you will have the opportunity to swim with dolphins which is an incredibly moving experience that will bring you into contact with strikingly beautiful scenery, unspoiled landscapes, and wonderful animals. You’ll plunge into the remarkable world of these powerful marine mammals and come face to face with the dolphins. After swimming with the dolphin, you'll be heading to the famous and natural Crystal rock. Over there, you will have the opportunity to snorkel in the pure crystal lagoon and take great pictures. The crystal rock is a beautiful natural phenomenon occurring in the southwest of the island in the lagoons of Le Morne. This subliminal rock formation sits just a couple of hundred meters away from the shore and offers a splendid view to anyone who lays their eyes on it. After swimming, you'll be heading to Benitier islet to savor a 3-course lunch, The wonderful cooks will start preparing the lunch as soon as you will be on the island, and within an hour you will be eating a delicious menu of Grilled Seafood and Fish, Chicken, Sausages, Garlic Bread, Salads, Dessert: Banana Flambe. You will have a wide selection of unlimited local Drinks which will be available on the island during lunchtime. After lunch, you can enjoy some relaxation time - have the leisure to tan on the beach, walk around the endless beach of the island or explore the amazing lagoons and coral reefs around the island. Visit the Original 7 Coloured Earth in Chamarel and drink in the lunar-like spectacle of red, brown, violet, green, blue, purple, and yellow sand dunes set in the middle of lush green vegetation, with the Black River mountain range in the background. On your way to 7 Coloured Earth, you can also admire the majestic Chamarel Waterfall, the tallest single-drop waterfall in Mauritius at about 100 metres high. You can also wander to the tortoise park to see the tortoises called Toto, Tizean, Rosette, Nini, Tizom and Tifam up close — a great activity for the family. Originally from Aldabra in Seychelles, the species can reach up to 1 meter in length with an average lifespan of more than 150 years. During your visit to the Geopark, you can also stop for a snack or lunch at the Coffee Shop. There you'll find themed products such as the Seven-Coloured Macaroons or Gourmet Popsicles. The Coffee Shop also serves Chamarel Coffee; the only locally grown and roasted coffee in Mauritius. Its taste is unique... maybe because it is grown on volcanic soil.

Your adventurous Catamaran trip to Ile Aux Cerf begins with a hotel pick-up at your accommodation anywhere in Mauritius. You will meet and be greeted by our certified guide and after boarding to your comfortable vehicle, then set off to Trou D'eau Douce. Arriving at there at 09.15 A.M, you will board to your Catamaran to enjoy this memorable catamaran cruise from Trou D'eau Douce to Ile Aux Cerfs. The catamaran cruise starts at 09:30 a.m., departing from Trou D’eau Douce on the East coast of Mauritius. The crew members will ensure that you have an enjoyable time, and they will be happy to tell you about local tales, jokes, and to play local Mauritian music which will lift the spirits of all on board. You will start your trip with a visit to the waterfall at Grand River South East before setting sail for the island of Ile Aux Cerfs. Then, when reaching the Grand River, you will go by speed boat to visit the waterfalls which are found about 500m upstream. If you’re lucky, you’ll be able to see the curious monkeys jumping through the big old trees on the river banks. Watch the Mauritian fruit bats resting perched on the highest trees as you approach the waterfall. Following the visit to the waterfall, you will head back to the catamaran. The catamaran will then sail inside the crystal-clear water of the lagoon until stopping for a snorkeling & swimming break, where breathtaking coral reefs & tropical fish are on prominent display. After snorkeling you will enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch set on the beach or on the catamaran. We served a 3-Course menu onboard. You’ll also be treated to a selection of local drinks, including soft drinks, Juice, water, beer, wine & local rum. Then, you will be heading to Ile aux Cerfs Island which is a beautiful island near the east coast of Mauritius. This amazing island is the perfect setting for a relaxing day of sun worship. As you approach the island by the catamaran, you will see the swaying palm trees and the pure white beaches framed by the vivid turquoise waters. At Ile aux Cerf, there are a variety of invigorating activities are awaiting you such as parasailing, tube riding, and undersea walk (Optional). After doing your activities, you can take a stroll and absorb the pristine natural environment, sit back and relax on the white sandy beaches. At Ile aux Cerfs Island you are sure to have some relaxation and fun on one of the picture-postcard beaches or enjoy a swim in the azure sea. With its luminous flora and fauna, uninhibited wind and sun, and myriad facilities to cater to your whims, Ile Aux Cerfs is the perfect getaway for anyone seeking an uncommonly comfortable escape. Walk up Le Morne Brabant mountain, one of Mauritius' most popular attractions and a UNESCO World Heritage Site led by a certified climber as your guide on this small-group tour. Meet your guide at the Slave Route Monument (Le Morne Public Beach) for a safety briefing before you head to the entrance of the mountain. The first section of the hike will be through the luscious rainforest. Make sure to keep an eye out for the phenomenal and rare endemic birds, and plants. Watch the golden sunrise and listen to the birds chirp as you climb up the mountain's four rock-scrambling sections. Along the way, your guide will tell you historical stories about Mauritius' past, and the significance of this important mountain. Pause at the famous Trochetia Boutoniona viewpoint, named after the island's national flower, for some healthy snacks. Take a moment to admire the breathtaking panoramic views surrounding you. Next, arrive at the 470-meter-high summit and try not to let your jaw drop too low as you see the intense beauty and nature Mauritius is so famous for. Snap a few well-deserved photos before heading back down the mountain.

After the hotel pickup, you will be visiting the town of Curepipe and Floreal. You will visit the crater of Trou aux Cerfs and the Indu temple of Grand Bassin. Here you will have the chance to learn about the Indu culture and traditions and how they persist in modern Mauritius society. From here, you will then drive to Black River, where you will be able to admire fantastic landscapes and views of the mountains. Finally you will be travelling to Chamarel, where you will visit the Waterfalls, the park of Seven coloured Earths, and pay a visit to the Giant turtles in the park. From here you will be driving back to your hotel, where you will be dropped off. During the day tour, you will be stopped at our local Mauritian restaurant to discover our Mauritian dishes which is included in this package.

Duration: 2 hours Stop At: Grande Riviere Sud Est, Grande Riviere Sud Est After embarking on the Catamaran, visit the Grand River South East waterfall before sailing to Ile Aux Cerfs. At the Grand River, hop onto a speed boat for a 500m upstream waterfall excursion. Keep an eye out for playful monkeys in the old trees along the riverbanks and observe Mauritian fruit bats resting on the tallest trees near the waterfall. After this waterfall visit, return to the catamaran. Duration: 1 hour Stop At: Ile Aux Cerfs, Ile Aux Cerfs The catamaran will glide through the crystal-clear lagoon waters. Step aboard the catamaran and look up at the Black River mountain range and the mythical Morne Mountain, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the calm blue waters of the West, complete relaxation awaits.  Depart from L'Estuaire, La Balise Marina at 9:00 AM and head to Tamarin Bay. Here, you can try to spot the dolphins. Then, take a leisurely sail in direction of Crystal Rock and stop on the way for some snorkeling and swimming next to the coral reef. Once you arrive at Crystal Rock, you may have another swim while the crew is preparing a delicious BBQ. After lunch, you will be able to spend 40 minutes discovering Ilot Benitier. There is a tender boat at your disposal to take you to the island. Sail back to the Black River and arrive at approximately 3:30 PM.
