Miami: Guided Small Group Boat Tour + Iconic Stiltsville

Miami: Guided Small Group Boat Tour + Iconic Stiltsville

Join us on an intimate, guided small-group boat tour, perfect for up to six passengers. Departing from Miami Beach Marina in the heart of South Beach, our journey begins with a sweeping view of Miami from the clear waters of Biscayne Bay. Your experience begins with your expert local guide sharing the stories of Flagler, Collins, and Fisher, the visionary leaders and developers of the 19th century who transformed Miami from swamplands into the world-class city it is today. These stories are sprinkled throughout your tour as we visit key areas in the development of this magic city by the sea. As we cruise past multi-million-dollar waterfront mansions on Star Island, you'll hear how this small island went from a swampy sandbar to a favorite of business titans and celebrities like Gloria Estefan and Shaquille O'Niel. We visit exclusive Fisher Island where you’ll learn how Carl Fisher traded the island to the Vanderbilt family for a luxury yacht in the 1940s and see firsthand how the island has become a favorite winter residence for global billionaires. We then pass by Port of Miami, known as the Cruise Capital of the World, getting an up-close view of the massive Panamax cargo ships unloading their cargo loads. Heading into the heart of the city skyline, we'll be surrounded by towering skyscrapers along the Miami River, where Native Americans once lived more than 8000 years ago. We continue past Brickell Avenue, a backdrop for numerous film and TV scenes including Miami Vice, Dexter, and CSI Miami. Further south into the more remote parts of the bay, we approach Biscayne National Park, the largest underwater park in the US. It is here you want to keep an eye out for marine life such as wild dolphins, manatees, and a variety of sea birds. The highlight of our park visit is an exclusive look at the unique and historic Stiltsville houses, standing proudly above the waters about 1.5 miles from any shoreline. Built between 1928 and 1965, these colorful shacks were once used as speakeasies during the Prohibition era and private clubs for celebrities, sports stars, and politicians. Don't miss the small Space Invader mosaics placed on two of the houses by the famous French street artist Invader, attracting fans from all over the world. Along the southern tip of Key Biscayne, we'll take in the historic Cape Florida lighthouse, the first structure ever built in Miami and the site of a ferocious battle between the US Navy and Native American tribes. As we cruise into the waterfront neighborhoods of this barrier island, you'll see stunning private homes and mansions along the shores, including President Richard Nixon’s Winter Whitehouse and the Scarface House, where many scenes from that movie were filmed. As we return to the dock, prepare to be awed by one of the most majestic views of Miami’s skyline from this southern part of the bay, you'll enjoy a panoramic view of the skyline that includes Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, and South Beach.

Miami - Key West Sailing Adventure

Miami - Key West Sailing Adventure

5 days and 5 nights full of fun, sports, relaxation and 150+ Nautical miles of beauty. You will get your fill of the wonders of the Florida Keys, its cool vibe and wildlife, weather at sea or inland ;-) Day 1: We will meet at 9:00AM at a location We will stop for lunch along the way around 1300, probably by Elliot Key. After taking some time to relax and maybe a swim, snorkel or just take a nap on our ‘big crib’, we will resume our expedition, aiming to reach Pumpkin Key by 1800. We will unwind and prepare a nice dinner. We might even go to bed early. Alternatively, we might decide to keep on sailing down, propelled by our zero footprint engine, without stopping in Elliot Key. The itinerary is a reference, but not a set agenda. Day 2: After a nice breakfast with freshly baked bread, scrambled eggs with chorizo and brewed coffee, we will leave the bay to head to some wonderful coral reefs. Carysfort, Christ of the Deep, Grecian Rocks are some of the snorkeling options on the menu. We could paddleboard at some point along the way, or just relax, sunbathing on deck. Lunch will be served. In the late afternoon, we would head down to spend the night at anchor by Tavernier. Day 3: has lots of fun in store. We will start the day with some reconnaissance paddle board ride around the area where we spent the night at anchor, then begin our sail from Tavernier to Marathon. We will stop to snorkel at Conch Reef early morning and Alligator Reef by noon. We should arrive at the marina around 1800 (6PM) for a nice hot shower and get ready to hit some cool dive bars. Day 4: Some paddleboarding around the marina is in order to start our 4th day of sailing adventure. Breakfast will be ready upon our crew's return to ship and after a short sail we will be back underwater to explore another wonderful South Florida Reef, have some lunch, sail and snorkel some more to then reach our destination for the night, Bahia Honda State Park. We should arrive early enough to take a walk around the park and it’s beautiful views from the old bridge and shower before dinner. Day 5: We will start the day with a paddleboard around, maybe take another shower before we start our sail into Key West. We will stop at a shipwreck and two reefs along the way if the energy allows. The Captain will most likely insist as the beauty of the reefs along the way is worth the extra effort. We would time our arrival to catch the splendid Key West sunset. This is our last night together so we will make it count, heading to some cool dive bars and a restaurant! We will part ways the following morning around 9AM. Returning on the 9 Days/8 Nights Option: Day 6: In Key West. Start the day at the marina, where we will be able to take a nice shower, have breakfast and enjoy the pool. The day is open to roam this picturesque, eclectic and unique city of the US, and learn about her colorful history. Days 7 to 9 sailing back. Ran out of characters to describe... The best tour we booked in Miami! We had a really nice sailing and snorkeling tour, there were delicious snacks and cold drinks, like beer, we stopped at a really beautiful little island to watch the sunset and to top it all off we even saw dolphins. David was a really nice captain, we even got to steer ourselves. Absolutely recommended!!

Captain David joyously shared his love for the bay with us. It made the experience all the more exuberating ! We happily stayed out longer than originally planned…. Well worth the time and money. It was smooth sailing — literally and figuratively!

We had a great time sailing on the hobie cat with David. Really cool experience in the bay. Stopped 1/2 way in a cove and had drinks and snacks. David knew everything about the area and was an expert sailor. Well worth the cost.

We had a lovely time out on the bay. On the way home the wind kicked up, which turned it into a whole different adventure. All in all it was a unique experience that we will remember forever.

Our guide was super knowledgeable about the waterways, history and the National Park. Highly recommend!
