What an oasis in the middle of the city. We wandered the gardens admiring the wide variety of plants. There was plenty of places to sit. Edgbaston pool was an added bonus. We both had jacket potatoes which were delicious. Am already planning our next visit.

The house is an excellent example of its time. The exhibits are all attractively displayed with informative but not intrusive captions about the Nettlefold family and their businesses. The rooms give tantalising glimpses of the garden. The garden itself is delightful, especially the Japanese and woodland sections. We visited as the acers,rhododendrons and azaleas were all showing well. The cafe has a good menu. Our lunches were delicious.

A hidden gem in Birmingham! A beautiful family home where I could happily kick off my shoes, take a book from the shelf and sit looking out of one of the many windows overlooking the gardens. Lovely tea room serving light lunches, cakes and a variety of drinks. Access from the garden to Edgbaston Reservoir with a variety of water fowl. Another visitor had seen 8 herons the previous day!
