Enjoy pick-up from your hotel by your guide in the morning and then start your day in the Old Town. Experience a walk through the narrow alleys of Panama's Old Town, a Unesco World Heritage Site. Start your walking tour at the Plaza de Catedral and walk to the San José church, which exhibits a golden altar. Afterwards, wander through the colonial streets to the ruins of the Dominican Monastery and the Arco Chato, which is connected to the Panama Canal. Continue to the Plaza de Francia, which used to be part of the city walls, and the Paseo de las Bovedas, which is situated by the sea and offers a magnificent panoramic view overlooking the Panama Canal. See the Puente de las Américas, the Biomuseo and the skyline of modern Panama. Next on the itinerary are the National Theater, the Parque Bolivar, the San Felipe Nerí church and the Church of the Mercedarian Order, the Iglesia de la Merced. Visit the locks exactly when the ships from Gatun Lake arrive at the Miraflores locks and are being lowered to the level of the Pacific.
