Full description

Experience a nighttime snorkeling expedition on a cruise from Big Island. Get up close and personal with stunning manta rays as they gracefully soar through the water. Your underwater adventure will take place in clear warm waters near protected reefs abundant with marine life.

After the sun sets, head off into the nighttime waters to see a fascinating "manta ray ballet" along the Kona coast near the mouth of Keauhou Bay. This point of departure is one of the island’s most successful and consistent manta ray viewing locations. Your snorkeling guide will outfit you with all the necessary gear needed to embark on your experience including snorkel gear, wetsuits, and flotation devices. After a quick safety briefing, plunge into the dark waters and be captivated by these graceful creatures as they feast on plankton.

Grip onto the flotation swim ring with high-illumination blue water lights that attract the plankton on which the mantas feed. Soon afterward, rays will glide through the water almost at arm's length opening their enormous mouths to feast.

After your remarkable underwater adventure, return to your boat and warm up with a nighttime snack of hot chocolate and cookies

Our experience was everything we had hoped for. After a slow start the manta rays were around steadily and really put on a show. The captain and his crew were excellent. They ran their operation in a very safe and organized manner, answering any and all questions as well as offering extra attention to those who were a little nervous about jumping into a dark ocean. It was a terrific experience.

Once in a life time experience you don't want to miss when you visit the Island. my 29 week pregnant lady and I floated along the manta rays and we had the blessing that a Monta ray touched the belly like sensing the double heart beat of my wife and baby. The cherry of the cake was a heavy rain over us while floating that made the experience more exited!

A once in a lifetime experience! Lots of Manta Rays, the guides were great and gave lots of interesting facts. I got cold, even with a shorty wet suit and a long sleeve rash guard underneath. Your arms will get tired as well but all worth the chance to spend a bit of time with such magnificent creatures. If you are prone to sea sickness, take the necessary precautions.
