Full description
Step aboard Marian, a unique glass-bottom boat. Enjoy the comfortable and a spacious cruiser that will take you on an exciting journey exploring Kona's fantastic reef. Your tour begins as you board the vessel at Kailua Pier. Onboard naturalists share their love of the sea as you cruise over the reef. See and learn about the vibrant tropical fish, coral colonies, and other underwater wonders. Have your camera ready as the boat approaches Shipwreck Rock, so named because most ships or boats would stay clear of it. The Marian was custom-made to glide right over the rock, making for unique photo opportunities. finally, head out to the drop off where you see the bottom plunge to over 100 feet deep. Look for frolicking dolphins, or even whales.

It was a cool experience. The crew was nice and the glass on the bottom, while small, was really neat. The main complaint I had was the boat felt a little too crowded. It would have been nice if they hadn't booked it so full. Me and my fiancee were shoved in tightly next to a family with two small, quite loud, small children, and it would have been a much better experience if everyone had their own space to enjoy themselves. Also it would have been nice to have more outside time on the boat, as it makes you boat sick to stare down at the bottom of the boat the whole time. Other than that it was a neat experience, I'd never been on a glass bottom boat, and there is lots to see. We saw so many fish, an eel and even a small shark! Overall, I'm glad we went, but there could be some improvements made to the experience.
