Really easy to use. We just printed our ticket off and that's all you need, you don't have to validate it or get another ticket. There was only one instance that a ticket inspector actually came around to look at tickets, he scanned the printed copy and all was fine. We used the U-Bahn (underground) and S-Bahn (overground) to get around everywhere, so convenient and quick. It runs 24hours too so can be out as late as you like!

Initially, the Berlin travel system is a bit confusing but very easy to adapt to it and understand what goes where! I recommend getting the travel pass especially if you plan to visit different attractions. The public transport is not extremely busy (almost at all times you have where to sit in the underground), much more relaxed than London public transport!

If you are in a big city for at least four days, you should definitely get a city ticket. It definitely pays off if you are normally active. However, there were problems when picking up the tickets, as one of the specified pick-up locations was closed in March and this was not communicated.
