Full description
On this powerful half-day tour you’ll explore Berlin as the capital city of Nazi Germany. With your guide you’ll visit the former Jewish quarter, the locations of Nazi bunkers, an air-raid shelter, anti-aircraft installations, war-damaged buildings, Nazi resistance monuments, WW2 battlefields, and more. The Third Reich bike tour includes rides through parks and is conducted at a relaxing pace. You’ll cover around 8 miles in 4.5 hours, with stops every few hundred meters to take in the sites. It’s a comprehensive, but not a strenuous tour. By the end of the excursion you’ll have a better understanding of the circumstances that allowed Hitler to achieve power in the time leading up to the second world war. Hear about Germany in the aftermath of World War I, Hitler’s rise and fall, and the building of the Berlin Wall. See the impact the Third Reich and WWII still have on Berlin, specifically by exploring the remnants of the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church and Berlin’s old main train station.

During my stay in Berlin I had two guided trips through two different companies and I would strongly recommend this one. It was really informative, I had seen many impressive places and monuments related to the topic. Really well spend time. Moreover the bikes are cool and Felix is a great guide :)

A MUST DO While in Verlin

Great tour lead by a great tour guide Neil, he was extremely professional, smart, witty and patient! We were able to keep the bikes the reminder of the afternoon, which we really enjoyed and visited some of the spots that Neil told us about. We enjoyed the company so much that we went back the next day to rent bikes again. WE will always be using Fat Bike tours when we're in Berlin and so should you!

A great day with Rob--an interesting look from a different perspective

It's impressive how Rob went into the history of the Third Reich. He tackled this sensitive topic and, as Germans, we got a perspective on the events that we didn't have before with our guilty narrow view. The international group of bikers was also interested in our positions and we were able to have some good conversations. Rob is a cool guide who really got our teenager into the topic. He obviously loves Berlin and managed to We already took a great tour of London with Fat Tire Bikes and this English-speaking tour was a really unique experience for us ex-Berliners. thanks for these hours full of new insights!
