Experience the STORY OF BERLIN on Kurfürstendamm and see 800 years of Berlin's history in a multimedia exhibition suitable for all ages and open year-round. Enjoy a 30-minute tour of a genuine atomic bomb shelter under Ku'damm.
What to Expect
The entry to the STORY OF BERLIN juts conspicuously out from Kurfürstendamm: a wing from an American candy bomber stands in the middle of the sidewalk! Visit the largest building on the block on Ku'damm and follow the red footsteps that lead directly to the reception area.

Exchange your vouchers for a museum ticket and begin your self-guided tour. The ticket also includes a 30-minute bunker tour, which takes place in both German and English. The meeting point for this is the museum foyer. The last entrance as well as the last daily tour (German and English) always takes place at 18:00. Later arrivals are unfortunately not possible.

The museum is comprised of 25 rooms, elaborately and lovingly designed to present the different epochs of Berlin's history. The 20th century forms an especially significant part of the exhibition: Berlin in the center of the World War, the construction of the Berlin Wall during the Cold War, and the reunification of Germany 40 years later.

The museum's multimedia exhibitions make it suitable for all ages. For guests from foreign countries, a museums app is available in 17 languages and offers more information related to the tour.

Please allow around 2 hours for your visit.
