Full description
Start your journey into the troubled past of Potsdamer Platz, one of the most important and popular places in the world, with a ride on the fastest lift in Europe. After having your voucher checked on the cash desk, skip the line to the elevator. In just 20 seconds you can take the elevator up to a height of 100 meters. From here you can enjoy breathtaking views of Berlin – no other vantage point provides a view of almost all structural and historical highlights of the German capital. The Brandenburg Gate, the Victory Column, and Bellevue Palace seem close enough to touch. The multimedia open-air exhibition “Berliner Blicke auf den Potsdamer Platz” (Berlin views of Potsdamer Platz) lets you immerse yourself in the various transformations of this historical location: from a quiet green to the pulsing heart of a major city, from the height of luxury to the field of ruble, from no man’s land to the new center of Berlin. The glass-walled Panoramacafé takes you back to the 1920's and 1930's. Take a moment to think about the past as you enjoy a cup of coffee and a delicious slice of cake. Depending on the time of day, the light breaks through the golden spires of the tower – the so-called “Crown of Berlin.” One floor above, on the 25th floor, you can admire the sunset over the West Berlin skyline from the stunning sun deck and enjoy the most beautiful sky over Berlin.

We didn’t really need the skip the line ticket the day we went, there wasn’t even a line to go up. But since we were on a tight schedule it was nice to know we were guaranteed to get up the elevator quickly. Once we were up there, the view was great, but the security bars made it a little difficult to take photos.

We had a wheelchair with us. The revolving door at the entrance could be slowed down by pressing a button. I found the aisle to the ticket counter to be quite narrow, unfortunately the distances could not be maintained. Since it was difficult to see from the outside, more and more people came to it. We had paid in advance to avoid queuing for the elevator. That worked great. However, on the way there, we had to squeeze past the waiting people with the wheelchair again. Another solution would be needed. You don't feel the fast elevator at all, you're up there in no time. The circular route on the tower was easily accessible with a wheelchair. There are many historical pictures and texts on the walls, which are very informative. The view is great. Alkes together a nice experience.

It was an amazing view. Very nice staff and the elevator was great. You didn't hear anything and didn't jerk. You only noticed the altitude by the pressure in your ears. It is absolutely recommended. Unfortunately I didn't go to the restaurant, I'll do that next time. It looked very nice from the outside!
