Sachsenhausen tour is very educational and emotional as everybody can surely imagine. But it is actually the tour guide who transformers you from the present to the past and makes this place of terror really authentic. Our guide Chris - Canadian young gentleman - has delivered an exceptional experience ( One of the few top quality guided tours we attended in Berlin). Firstly, we learnt significantly more than we expected and it was clear that we could continue for endless hours to learn more and more. Secondly, Chris's passion for history and passing it onto next generation is simply admirable and also contagious! Lastly, Chris's humour also greatly contributed to a fabulous memorable tour. Definitely recommend for everybody visiting Berlin! I would actually say it is a 'Must do' that helps you to see a human being and life from different perspective! Thank you so much!

Definitely recommend visiting with a guide! It was very helpful meeting up with the guide and rest of the group in the centre of Berlin as it made the journey to the camp much easier. Our guide Jonny made the tour so much better with his excellent knowledge on the history and his engaging personality. He went above and beyond, with even taking us to the correct train we needed to get to our hotel after the tour had ended. All questions we had were answered and thoroughly too. The meeting point is next to a station with multiple places to grab food to eat on the train as you can’t eat in the camp which is perfectly understandable. Overall, fantastic value for money and with the help of Jonny, gained lots of knowledge! 100% recommend :))

Waldi was a great guide - very clearly explaining Germany’s history in its different phases and their relevance to Sachsenhausen. He was also very mindful of the group feeling the cold, so he did his explanations in more sheltered places. All in all highly recommended!
