We really liked the tour by bus and boat through the illuminated city. Dimitri, our tour guide, told a lot of interesting things, not only about the light installations. Waltraud then gave her best on the ship. Her moderation was very amusing. The (half?) Currywurst was also served on board the ship, and tomato soup for vegetarians. If you wanted, you could also buy photos that a photographer took on the ship. However, I would not take a seat in the double-decker bus again. In order to take photos on site, the constant getting in and out was a bit annoying and sometimes exhausting.

Excellent way to see all the lights. Your up high in the bus with the best view. We were on a double decker bus. We did the bus and boat tour. Next time I would skip the boat and just do the bus. The boat tour was short and not much to see

Bus tour is recommended, boat tour is not necessary

The tour by bus is really great - it certainly depends on the tour guide (who was great for us) and the weather; It's always full at the Festival of Lights, so the bus sometimes doesn't even come with pedestrians. You can "give yourself" the boat tour (in my opinion): it is very nice, but it did not meet our expectations! Our conclusion: it is really interesting, and if you have been to the "Panorama Punkt" BEFORE the tour, you have probably seen everything - except for the Victory Column.
