Excellent way to see all the lights. Your up high in the bus with the best view. We were on a double decker bus. We did the bus and boat tour. Next time I would skip the boat and just do the bus. The boat tour was short and not much to see

Bus tour is recommended, boat tour is not necessary

The tour by bus is really great - it certainly depends on the tour guide (who was great for us) and the weather; It's always full at the Festival of Lights, so the bus sometimes doesn't even come with pedestrians. You can "give yourself" the boat tour (in my opinion): it is very nice, but it did not meet our expectations! Our conclusion: it is really interesting, and if you have been to the "Panorama Punkt" BEFORE the tour, you have probably seen everything - except for the Victory Column.

Good trip.plenty time to view the lights.3 hrs on the bus and roughly an hour on the boat. Drinks expensive on boat so be aware. Supposed to get currywurst but nobody announced that they were serving this down stairs in bottom deck. By the time I realised, there were no meals left and they had finished serving.so dont leave it too late to get something or end up with nothing like we did. But none the less enjoyed or trip .the lady guide was really good. A good experience of the Berlin night sites.
