You do not need to reserve time slots for your museum visit. Here, you have the option to purchase tickets without cash. At the museum counter, you can pay with cash.


From the hand axe to the smartphone: In our exhibitions, we make the milestones of communication experienceable and refer to current debates – always from a different angle and always in dialogue with you, our community. They are an invitation to discover new points of view, become active and participate in the discourse.


The communication gallery around the atrium contains an array of interactive terminals that offer a fun way to explore the basics of communication. Exchange the latest news by smoke, light or acoustic signals, and try out the digital displays.

We booked online at Museum using a QR code. It was a seamless experience. The exhibitions are well organized and interactive. Our 5 year old found them interesting. There was also a workshop for kids. Overall, our Sunday afternoon was well spent.

Beautiful building. Really hands-on. Was basically empty when we visited, which was quite surreal. Some items didn’t work, and seemed like they hadn’t for a long time. Definitely recommend it if you’re at all into communication, or the postal system. It felt mostly available in English, but key parts (mostly on the floor landings) were German-only. We wandered in to use the loo, and only then realised where we’d wandered in to, and bought tickets to roam around.

The museum is super interesting but it’s very badly signalised, and that sadly takes a bit from the effort made by the curators. Also, be ready to see loads of kids. But besides that. Very interesting
