Learn about the Battle of Berlin, which occurred in April & May 1945 as you walk around the city. Visit the Berlin Wall, East German diplomatic quarter, the Reichstag, and other important landmarks. Explore central Berlin, known as the 'Z Sector' during the battle. See many of the major battle sites and learn about the experiences of the soldiers and civilians. Hear about the war from your guide and learn about the aftermath as Berlin was divided into East and West. Discover how the city recovered and changed between 1939 and the building of the Wall in 1961. Find out about the impact of these historical events on modern-day Berlin.

    Meeting point

    The meeting spot for the tour is the Markgrafenstrasse entrance of the Deutscher Dom. This is in Gendarmenmarkt and is on the corner of Markgrafenstrasse and Mohrenstrasse, opposite the Hilton Hotel. It is roughly 20 meters from the large Christmas tree. Your guide will be holding a blue umbrella. Getting there by train: 200m walk from Hausvogteiplatz U-Bahn station on the U2 line
