Know before you go
- On June 1st, 2022, according to Ordinance no. 19/2022 from January 5th, a tourist tax has started by ICNF with the purpose of controlling the human load on Berlenga Island. When you buy the ticket to the boat, it is mandatory that you buy the tourist tax
- This tour is not recommended for people with limited mobility
- You need to be at the meeting point 30 minutes prior to the departure
- You will exchange your voucher for a physical ticket before departure
- It's advisable to bring plenty of water as it can get very hot
- The morning departure leaves at 9:00 AM and returns at 1:30 PM from August 1 to Sept 15. The rest of the year it leaves at 10:00 AM and returns at 3:00 PM
- The afternoon departure only works from August 1 to Oct 5. It leaves at 3:00 PM and returns at 6:30 PM
- Note: The 12 PM trip is on a smaller boat called "AzulOrizonte" that makes the trip in 40 minutes.
