From Bergen: Day Trip with Flam Railway and Fjord Cruise

Take a scenic day trip from Bergen in Norway, and travel on the Flåm Line across steep fjords and mountains on your way to Flåm. First, you'll be picked up from your hotel in the morning and begin the drive to Voss. From Voss, board the train heading to Oslo, stopping in Myrdal, from which the Flåmbana will take you the rest of the way. Then, along your journey from Voss to Flåm, take the scenic route through the picturesque landscapes of western Norway along the Flåm Line train route. See snow-capped mountains, lush green valleys, and crystal-clear rivers and lakes. As you arrive at Flåm, you’ll notice the fjord along the Aurlandsfjord that borders the city. Surrounded by mountains, waterfalls, and glaciers, this village offers a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and fishing. Next, walk along the harbor beside the traditional brightly-painted wooden houses. Enjoy a boat trip in the harbor after lunch to explore the fjord and surrounding islands, or enjoy visiting the village's shops, cafes, and restaurants. Then, use Flåm as a starting point for exploring the Sognefjord and its surrounding areas, including the Nærøyfjord, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Jotunheimen National Park, which is home to some of Norway's highest mountains.
