Full description
For almost one thousand years Bergen has been the destination of travelers from all around the world and is Norway’s second largest city, with over 250,000 inhabitants and is estimated to have been founded in 1070. Located at the west coast of Norway some of the most popular attractions include the Funicular, Aquarium, the Hanseatic Museum and, as the birthplace of the hugely popular composer Edward Grieg, the Edward Grieg Museum which receives thousands of visitors from all over the World. Even the local Tourist Information Centre is an attraction in its own right- housed in The old Bergen Exchange, built in 1862 and containing the famous Fresco Hall with murals painted by Axel Revoid that have been long recognised as a national treasure. Bergen resounds with music and as well as one of the world’s oldest symphony orchestras, has some of the country’s best choirs, jazz musicians who improvise through the night and operatic singers - it also has the country’s first national theatre and is host to many international festivals. We were 5 people, everyone was satisfied.

We were 5 people. When we left the ship we had only a short way to the bus. Since we had the tickets, we were able to get on the bus immediately. The tour of about 1 hour gave us a good overview of mountains. We used the bus several times a day.

Nice tour of mountains

Very nice tour through mountains. All sights were visited and could be visited. In addition, there was even free WIFI on the bus. Since there were several providers for hop-on / hop-off, we had to find the right one first. Unfortunately, the bus driver couldn't do anything with the voucher and was a little overwhelmed. His colleague then knew and then exchanged the voucher for the tickets.

Arriving in Bergen on a cruise, there were several Representatives outside the port exit to sell tickets for the HOHO bus. They also had two buses nearby. Great way to get around the city, especially as there are so many inclines. Also a good commentary onboard the bus.
