    The tour guide was so Helpful, nice and was comfort to talk to her. She took us to a trip down from up the mountain to the parking spot with a nice view and explaination about every thing. The view there was spectacular, so beautiful.

    the tours were interesting and is worth the money. there were 2 diff tour guides for the different but both Thomas and Leo are very friendly. they speak good eng as well.

    This full-day tour from Munich takes you to Hitler’s mountain retreat, located in the mountains above Berchtesgaden. Presented to him in 1939 as a 50th birthday present, the mountain chalet took 13 months to complete, and includes an elevator that was bored through a tunnel in the rocks to reach the entrance. You will depart from Munich and drive along some of the most scenic roads in the German Alps. On arrival, a special bus will take you up to the Eagle´s Nest entrance area, where you will ride the elevator to the mountain peak, and into Eagle´s Nest itself. Look at beautiful views over the Alps, with free time on your own to explore. The lower rooms can be visited with an English-speaking guide, and offer views of the building's past through plate-glass windows.     The Eagle's Nest, or Kehlsteinhaus, is a retreat nestled high in the Kehlstein Mountains. It was originally given to Adolf Hitler as a 50th birthday gift, and offers historical insight as well as beautiful views. This tour will take you up into the mountains and over the German border into Bavaria, passing by the salt mines. The first stop of the tour is in the Obersalzberg area, where you'll change buses to head to the Eagle's Nest high in the Kehlstein Mountains. Hitler held many meetings in the Eagle's Nest, which he used as a conference center. You'll have free time to explore the old conference room, dining area, and small tea room with terraces. Your guide will explain the history and stories of this interesting retreat during your visit. After leaving the Eagle's Nest, your tour will return to Salzburg.

    Good but a long trip to only stay for 35 minutes..information was good but you can take a local Salzburg bus to allow for more time there

    A fascinating opportunity to visit the picturesque area of Berchtesgaden in the neighbouring German province of Bavaria. Leaving Salzburg passing by Hellbrunn we cross the German border. Driving past the Salt mines our first stop will be at the King’s Lake – Königssee, known as ‘The prettiest lake in Germany’ and part of the Berchtesgaden National Park. Enjoy this short break to marvel at the scenery, the Bavarian mountains towering above you and proving a magnificent backdrop to the lake. We then drive to the town of Berchtesgaden, nestled in the foothills of the surrounding mountains. Enjoy your free time strolling around the centre, historical buildings, churches and perhaps a local speciality or two! Returning back to the centre of Salzburg in the late afternoon.

    Pass Salzburg, cross the German border and continue into the Alps. Stop in Obersalzberg and switch to a reserved bus that will take you on a spectacular 6.5-kilometer drive along a single-lane road. The road was blasted out of solid rock with a 22% gradient that leads up to the Eagle's Nest (1,820 meters). To reach Hitler’s former residence, enter a 124-meter long tunnel into the mountain. Climb aboard a golden brass elevator to ascend another 124 meters into the building itself. Your private guide will take you on a tour of the building and show you sights such as the room with the famous fireplace. Get lots of inside information and anecdotes about Hitler’s legendary tea house. Soak up the panoramic views of the Bavarian and Austrian Alps. Before your return to Salzburg, take the opportunity to explore the picturesque town of Berchtesgaden.
