From Costa del Sol or Malaga: Granada and Alhambra Tour

1. From Costa del Sol or Malaga: Granada and Alhambra Tour

The Alhambra is the most visited monument in Spain and an essential stop for anyone visiting Granada. If you want to discover all its secrets, its exclusive Nasrid Palaces, and the Generalife Gardens, do not hesitate to book this excursion. You can choose to be picked up from one of the different pick-up points in Costa del Sol or Malaga at the indicated time. Then, enjoy a scenic drive across the mountain range of Málaga to reach the historical city of Granada. Upon arrival, discover the monuments that form the Alhambra. Firstly, take a walk across the Generalife Gardens which holds the Palace of Charles V. With this option, you do not enter the Nasrid Palaces. After this exciting visit, enjoy a panoramic view of the city and then have some free time in Granada town. You can have lunch or walk through the typical streets of the Alcaicería. After, return to Costa del Sol where your tour will end.

Private Alhambra Tour From Malaga & Surrounds

2. Private Alhambra Tour From Malaga & Surrounds

Learn about the history of Granada on this six-hour guided tour of the Alhambra and Generalife summer palace with a skip-the-line ticket. A specialist and historian guide will lead you around the vast complex, dating back more than 600 years. Marvel at a magnificent mix of Islamic art and culture. Your tour includes hotel pick-up and drop-off via private coach.  Then,  you will be driven to the Alhambra (about 1.5 hours) to visit the Alhambra with your official tour guide. See Nasrid Palace where you will enjoy the Mexuar, Comares and Lions courtyard; Alcazaba - the Military Fortification; and Generalife the recreational Palace and Gardens. After the 2.5-hour tour, enjoy an hour on your own exploring outside or inside Alhambra where you can visit shops, restaurants and museums.   On this guided tour you will feel the spirit of the last Muslim bastion in Spain. Yusuf is still here – in spirit. So is his father, Ismail I, and his son, Muhammed V. These three sultans were largely responsible for the Palacio Nazaríes – the 14th-century miracle that shines as the Alhambra’s jewel. To amble through these chambers and corridors is to step into Al-Andalus, to feel the energy of a civilization that held such a significant portion of Europe in its grip for eight centuries. Its matters of state still whisper in the Mexuar – a meeting place for ministers, all floral tiles and tapering columns, whose later conversion into a chapel could not conceal its Moorish origins. Its afternoons at play still haunt the Patio de los Leones – an intricate courtyard, the core of royal life under Muhammed V, where fountains splash. And its sophistication still flickers around the Palacio de Comares.

This private taxi and private tour was the best! Our driver (Jose) tailored our drive to our interests (lookout point [Placeta de S. Nicolás] and great espresso) and allotted time for us to visit city center. Bring a taxi allowed us to enter otherwise restricted areas. Our tour guide (Jose Francisco)of the Alhambra was extremely knowledgeable (everyone of my many questions was answered) and accommodating to our interests. He allowed some decisions for our itinerary. I take a lot of photos (used 2 batteries) and Jose showed us where to get the best shots. This tour is expensive but worth every penny. It was the highlight of our visit.

A long, but very interesting day to visit Granada and then the Alhambra Palace complex. Fortunate with the weather which helped make it better. A reasonable amount of free time to explore the centre of Granada, but no "tour" as such of the city. Lots of walking around The Alhambra complex with lots of different levels and steps so you need reasonable mobility.

Excellent experience. The guide in Granada was very cool and knew a lot. He advised us at all times. In Alhambra the guide went too fast, but he knew a lot. Very good experience

Everything was very good, the only downside and it's not your fault was the lot of people there. if not all great

Excellent time with great and truly professional services and people!!!
