Benagil Cave: Guided Kayak Tour with Caves and Cliffs

Fantastic day out for 4 of us. Worried that our 12 yr old might struggle but not so. Covered quite a stretch of coastline in 90 minutes. Caves were awesome (take a torch) even time for a dip in the sea. Ha! Try climbing back into the kayak when your drenched. 0u Guide Leonardo is a top bloke. Thinks he's a Pirate and very lighthearted. A local Treasure 😁

Kayaking in the Algarve was an incredible experience! We had the chance to see the famous Benagil Cave while still respecting its preservation — technically, boats and people aren’t allowed to disembark inside the cave, and our tour followed those guidelines responsibly. Our guide was funny, engaging, and made sure we captured some beautiful photos along the way, which was a great bonus. We also explored several lesser-known caves and even got out of the kayak to walk around, which added to the adventure. The only downside was the steep walk — you start at the top of a hill and have to carry your items down (and back up again after the tour). It's a bit of a workout! Pro Tip: Book the earliest time slot available! We went at 8:30 AM and avoided the massive beach crowds and the larger tour boats. By the end of our tour, it started to get busy, and the bigger boats don’t give much space to kayakers — it can get a bit chaotic.
