This was an excellent tour all over Bellville with so much food! Fanny was also absolutely fantastic! Kind, nice and so knowledgeable. She was also so understanding and accommodating to our extenuating circumstances. We'd love to have her as our guide again in the future.

We took a bit of a leap on the tour since we knew nothing about Get Your Guide or much about the Belleville area, but both worked out terrifically well. Can’t rave enough about the guide, Severine, who was organized, knowledgeable, energetic, enthusiastic, friendly, and just downright fun. The tour was an interesting blend of food and history, covering a non-touristy area well worth seeing. The behind-the-scenes bakery visit and best of our trip croissants were highlights.

Full description

Explore the charming village of Belleville. Follow your guide to a coffee shop to enjoy locally brewed coffee and typical French pastries. Visit a kitchen's bakery and see behind the scenes as you learn about the process of making traditional French baguettes and croissants. You will, of course, have the opportunity to try some baguettes or other bread and viennoiseries.   Next stop at a chocolate maker. Then, take the opportunity to stroll around the neighborhood and meet local merchants and taste some food. Then, finally visit a bistro, for a wine and cheese tasting. Finish with dessert, a typical French cake. This district was and still is home to many famous French artists. See various works of street art as you stroll through the streets. Please, note that we provide a complimentary book of addresses at the end of the tour. It is recommended to take the tour at the beginning of your stay, in order to benefit from the most gourmet addresses in the area.

My wife and I really enjoyed our food walking tour of Belleville. Our guide -- Fanny -- was delightful. She was friendly and knowledgable, spoke English very well, and curated a great experience for us. We saw a neighborhood of Paris we would have NEVER thought to visit -- and we really enjoyed that. The food and drinks were delicious and we bought some extra items for ourselves and as souvenirs for loved ones. I'm a walking tour guide in NYC/NJ, so I have high standards AND I love learning about new places and experiencing different kinds of walking tours. My wife and I highly recommend!
