Depart from San Ignacio, it is almost a 45-minute van ride to the Park Reserve. On arrival, participants are broken up into small groups with 8 participants to a guide. The guide starts with an overall explanation of the day's proceedings and assists everybody with adjusting the safety gear; we then head to the starting point. This would be the first of 3 river crossings, this being the deepest point, there is a rope bank across the river to assist with a safe river crossing. In the other crossings, the water level is fairly shallow, ankle-deep. After a 45-minute hike, we arrive at the mouth of the cave; with the guide swimming across to the ledge for a safety demonstration. Make your way into the cave, swimming and then walking through the main water passage until you reach the boulder and head to the dry chamber. To enter the chamber, you will be required to slip off your shoes in order to protect the cave as there are artifacts lying on the cave floor. Marvel at the cave's artifacts, most of which have been calcified into the ground, unmoved even by archaeologists. Learn about the rituals and ceremonies, bloodletting offerings, food offerings, and human offerings, including the 15 human remains uncovered by archaeologists. To access the last chamber, you will climb a ladder to see full skeletal remains before exiting the cave in the same way you came in. You will hike back to the parking lot before replenishing yourself with lunch and returning to San Ignacio.

Once we do the border crossing enjoy you scenic shuttle to the Island of Flores Peten which will take us two hours.

Meet at the beachfront of Lily's Treasure Chest Restaurant in the morning at 8am, look for one of our Team Members in our Yellow Ridge and Reef Adventures Shirt who will give you instructions and get you checked in for your adventure. Get geared up and depart for Hol Chan Marine Reserve. After a refreshing boat ride, arrive at the Marine Park. Enjoy 45 minutes to an hour to snorkel and explore this vibrant underwater world teeming with flora and fauna. Then, cruise to Shark and Ray Alley. Test your nerves and swim with nurse sharks that range between 3 and 12 feet in length. Keep an eye out for a variety of species, such as horse-eyed jacks, snappers, and much more. This experience lasts anywhere from 20 minutes to 45 minutes, depending on you. Climb aboard once again and make your way to Coral Gardens. Snorkel above vast and breathtaking coral formations that serve as a home to many species of fish, including loggerhead turtles. Continue to the North Channel, near Caye Caulker. Here, catch a glimpse of manatees, eels, nurse sharks, and other beautiful flora and fauna. Snorkel for about 30 to 45 minutes. If you are unable to see manatees here, you will be guided to another location in search of these gentle giants.  Make a stop on the leeward side of Caye Caulker to feed large but gentle fish called tarpons or silver giants. Visit a sea horse sanctuary to look for these small but beautiful sea creatures. Stop at a local restaurant in the afternoon and savor a warm Belizean lunch. Then, enjoy free time to explore the village at your own pace. Visit the split caused by Hurricane Hatti, one of the strongest hurricanes of 1961. Depart Caye Caulker in the late afternoon for a return transfer to San Pedro.

Immigration and Customs procedures are personal as well as baggage handling . If any Passenger has any problem with Immigration, a waiting time of 20 minutes will be given. . We boarded the bus again and continued for approximately two and a half hours to get to Belize City, specifically to San Pedro Belize Express Water Taxi . At San Pedro Belize Express Water Taxi we check our boat tickets and get our boarding pass . We board the boat at the nearest exit, the journey is approximately 50 minutes to reach our destination Caye Caulker and for San Pedro Amberguis an hour and a half . Start your tour with hotel pickup from San Ignacio, then take a 15-minute drive to Xunantunich. First, embark on a 2-hour guided tour of the Xunantunich archaeological site, which was a unique Mayan ceremonial center. Discover the 6 major plazas surrounded by more than 25 temples and palaces with time to climb the different structures. Admire the large El Castillo Pyramid which is well known for the frieze or band of stucco decoration which at one time extended around the entire temple. El Castillo rises 130 feet above the main plaza and offers an impressive panoramic view over the Mopan River valley.  After this, combine your visit with a range of optional activities to choose from. Cave Tubing:  Start your adventure at No'och Che'en National Park with a hike through the subtropical forest. As you sit and enjoy the tubing downstream, the journey will take you through a series of remarkable limestone caves, each filled with fascinating discoveries of the Mayan underworld. You can also jump into refreshing crystal-clear blue waters formed in-between the cave entrances. Float through some rapids, view sparkling cave formations, and learn about cave geology and Mayan History. River Tubing:  This adventure takes place along the Mopan River - a very important water source for the ancient city of Xunantunich. Start by clipping on your helmet and putting on your floating device. Then, jump into your tube and begin floating downstream on the easy flowing water. Just as you get comfortable, feel the adrenaline as you reach some class I rapids. After floating past the village, continue into a jungle area and admire the incredible native flora and fauna that Belize has to offer. Horseback Riding:  Alternatively, begin your experience on the outskirts of Succotz village. Ride a friendly horse along an ancient Mayan trail as you dodge low-hanging tree branches. If you are lucky, try to spot adorable Howler Monkeys jumping between the trees.
