  • Belize City: 5-Hour Cave Kayaking Tour

    1. Belize City: 5-Hour Cave Kayaking Tour

Meet your guide at the Cruise Ship Terminal or at your hotel lobby, depending on the option selected. Relax as you board an air-conditioned vehicle that will set off for the caves on a 1-hour narrated tour of the country and local customs. For cruise passengers, choose to include an additional ziplining activity when booking and zoom across the lush rainforest canopy prior to the kayaking adventure. When you arrive at the national park, get kitted out with helmets, jackets, lights, paddles. Begin the forest nature walk to the riverside where the kayaks are located, making 3 river crossings along the way. Choose from a single or tandem kayak then get out onto the water.  As you begin to kayak, head upstream towards the caves, admiring the formations and practicing your paddling. Stop at a scenic location for a swim in a natural pool. Then, paddle downstream through a network of 5 caves ...

Abner picked us up, just as promised. He was an amazing tour guide both on the road & all through the jungle. He was fun, funny & just an absolute pleasure. He really made our trip special from beginning to end.

  • Belize Cave Tubing

    2. Belize Cave Tubing

As your cave tubing tour begins, your friendly tour guide will take you through Belize City and onto the George Price Highway toward Jaguar Paw. This will include a brief history lesson as you make your way to your destination. At Jaguar Paw you will enjoy both the rainforest and the underworld of the Mayas as you hike for about 30 minutes through the rainforest. Your guide will point out different medicinal plants and their benefits that were once used by the Mayas and locals today. At the cave enjoy the refreshing cold river water as you float through the cave system and relax as you enjoy listening to rainforest come to life. When you are finished tubing, you will have time to sit and enjoy a delicious plate of local food along with natural juices or sodas before returning to the city.

This was by far one of the most amazing experiences I have had. The guide was super informative (knew all aspects of wildlife, vegetation and historic components) and shared many local insider tips. There were clear expectations as to how the experience was going to unfold. No surprises! I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Belize, it will complete your trip!

What people are saying about Belize District

this was a very good scoring and informative tour!! Abner is a fantastic guide. He’s very knowledgeable about Belize, the areas, both urban and rural, and provides great info and advice while hiking and kayaking. His assistant Miguel is also a hard worker, so please be sure to thank you tip Miguel before he leaves the vehicle. The trip was awesome! I enjoyed the hiking, learning about the natural resources, etc., and of course the kayaking was the best part.
