Full description

Enjoy a short sightseeing tour in Belgrade around the fortress of Belgrade. Learn about the city's hidden secrets while visiting 4 underground sites in the fortress. See the notorious Roman Well, cold war military bunker, gunpowder storage, and dungeons with medieval torture devices. Your first stop will be the Roman well built by the Austrians in 18th century. Hear about the many mysteries connected to it, and why it is considered Alfred Hitchcock's favorite spot in Belgrade. Your tour will continue to an army bunker, dating back to the beginning of the Cold War era. It reveals long-kept secrets of Communist Yugoslavia. If you're a fan of archeology, you will enjoy the Roman lapidarium in the Gunpowder Warehouse, where Roman artifacts from the territory of Serbia are exhibited. The history lesson will end at the dungeons where you will be able to learn about the dark medieval times and torture mechanisms used during that period. The tour will last 2-hours and it will be led by a professional tour guide. Finish your tour with a Turkish coffee. Drink Turkish coffee and connect with Serbia's cultural heritage as you enjoy the social settings and bond with friends and family.

The tour was very good. We received a lot of information and interesting stories. Milica is a great guide and knows her stuff very well. We basically had a private tour as no one had registered for the tour that day. That was of course another plus point for us. We would definitely recommend the tour.

Bojan was a great guide with a lot of historical knowledge. He communicated this very authentically, so that you could listen and follow him very well. The tour lets you see underground places you wouldn't otherwise be able to access. It is very cool there even on hot days. At the end there was a traditional schnapps and a nice end to the tour. I would recommend the tour to anyone who enjoys history!

The Guide Milan was just great. So much knowledge and so many stories to tell. The tour went away too fast. Still could be walking and listening to the history of Belgrad. The underground walks were fascinating. Of course the bunker from Tito's time was outstanding. So were the other locations. 3 hours went by like a few minuts. Highly reomendation.
