Skadarska Street is the Bohemian heart of Belgrade. Although the capital offers numerous bars, clubs and discos for a night out, Skadarlija (as the locals call it) is perfect for those who want to discover the old-fashioned spirit of Belgrade.
What to Expect
Skadarlija is an old paved street, about 400 meters long, which is surrounded by facades and cafes that haven’t changed for 150 years. Skadarlija is the city's main gathering place for artists, poets and other bohemian characters.
On this tour, you will visit some of the most popular taverns on the street, offering traditional Serbian cuisine, home-made wine, rakija (moonshine) and beer. Dinner will be accompanied by traditional live music.
You can also see the house of the famous Serbian poet and painter Đura Jakšić, which today is a place where concerts and literary meetings are organized. As well as dinner in one of the taverns, you will receive a welcome drink - perhaps one of the local rakijas - and later you will have a chance to choose beer and wine from a large selection.
