Full description

Meet your guide, a working Belfast cab driver, and hear about their personal involvement in The Troubles. Enjoy a welcome to Belfast while learning about how they are now dedicated to delivering an unbiased account of this dark period.

Encounter locations like the Falls Road and Shankill Road, two communities still separated by the looming Peace Walls. You will see many telling political murals, and share in stories from those who lived through the conflict.

Enjoy an experience with a maximum of 5 participants, though groups can be as small as 1-3. Notable people who have undertaken this same Black Cab Tour in the past include Anthony Bourdain, Vince Vaughn, and George Negus, to name but a few. Experience unique insights from the past and present. Your guide will be happy to answer any questions about the city's troubled history, its changes, and its future, or give recommendations for food and entertainment.

Myself and my husband went on trip yesterday and I cannot recommend this highly enough. It was brilliant and is a must do if visiting Belfast. It was very powerful and moving. Our driver and tour guide Ciaran was exceptional. His knowledge was outstanding and hearing his first hand experience was second to none. On top of that he was a nice guy! Thanks Ciaran for a great few hours.

It was a fantastic tour. Very educational and very interesting. Our driver Martin was brilliant. Very patient never rushing only too happy to tell us the history of our trip. He was extremely polite and even gave us extra time to learn more about things that went on. Would highly recommend it.

This trip was fabulous - Jason (our driver) went above and beyond explaining the troubles, the many murals, and his own experiences. It was absolutely fascinating and an experience that neither I nor my son will ever forget. We learnt so much on our tour I want to return to Belfast with my husband to discover more. Jason also made recommendations for our evening in Belfast (bars and restaurants), which turned out to be a lot of fun, including one bar playing live Irish music. This tour is not to be missed!!!
