Full description

Enjoy the perfect introduction to the city of Belfast on this part street art tour, part bar crawl. Learn about the city's troubled history, find the best places for a pint, and get your bearings of the city center.

Meet your local guide in St. Annes Square and see the square's best restaurants, sculptures, and live music venues. Continue your stroll around the city center, following a route designed to show you street art painted by the international artists who descend on Belfast every year.

Next, explore the birthplace of a new generation of musicians. As you wander through the city's narrow alleyways, hear how the history of music, from its traditional beginning to its rock and roll, punk, and modern genres, influenced change in Northern Ireland.

Throughout your tour, pass by the city's most iconic pubs, including The Crown Liquor Saloon, Robinsons, and The Duke of York. Find out what goes on inside each of them and the best places to enjoy some live music with your drink.

My sister and I went on this walk in December, so first and foremost bring layers and dress warm! With that said, we didn't get a chance to think about the cold too much because Marti kept a great pace and we went into so many buildings/pubs that you stay warm easily! Moving on from talking about the cold, the tour itself and everything we got to see and learned about was so amazing! Marti is very knowledgeable in every art piece we saw as well as the building we got to go into and see. He also works in some history with the tour which made for a lot of great stories!

Marti's love and knowledge about Belfast is evident from the get go. He is well informed about the history, culture and politics and has an encyclopedic knowledge dating back to the islands first inhabitants. Our trip was also great fun and we discovered so much in the time. Would thoroughly recommend and will try another of his tours next time im in Belfast.
