This was our 4th tour while here in the UK and this was my favorite by far. We got incredibly lucky and had Jo Jo as our tour guide. He had a wealth of knowledge and is related to the artist whom painted the mural of Bobby Sands. What an eye opening tour because I didn’t know too much of the history of all of The Troubles and what still goes on til this day. Thank you Jo Jo!! Anyone considering this tour while staying in Belfast should book immediately.

This is a very informative tour, excellent historical knowledge and great craic the whole way! However I did think it was a little one sided in terms of the troubles information, and had hoped we would see both side of the community to give an even side of events. I thought we might have seen a bit more of Belfast, the museum was so interesting however I would happily go and se sit in my own time to get more info from the driver- as the driver had so much information etc to give!

The Black Cab Tour is well worth doing. You get a guided tour of all the important historical places in Belfast relating to the 'Troubles'. I would advise you to book the Black Cab Tour as soon as you decide to do it. I delayed my decision and a cruise ship arrived into the harbour and took up all the places. I was lucky to get a tour 24 hours later. I would also advise you to ask the company if the guide/driver would pick you up at your own accommodation. I had to make my way through the rain to the Jury's Hotel pick up point. 15 minutes walk. No big deal, but this could've been avoided. I would brush up on all the different acronyms used for the different organisations involved in the 'Troubles' as the guide spoke quickly and it was difficult to keep up. All the 3 letter acronyms just tripped lightly and often from his mouth and was a bit confusing. Also, there are two or three different expressions used constantly, to describe the same organisation or group of people.
