Know before you go

  • Admission is free at National Museums and Monuments on Sundays and holidays for residents of Portugal
  • The Belém Tower opening hours are: Tuesday to Friday from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM
  •  Last admission at 5:30 PM
  • The tower is closed on Mondays, and January 1, Easter Sunday, May 1, June 13, and December 25
  • There is only one entrance to go inside the tower and there might be lines
  • You will receive a PDF voucher in the booking confirmation email. This voucher needs to be presented at the entrance of the Monastery

The long line of people waiting. People should book tickets associated to a specific slot time for the entrance. This would eliminate the long line outside and avoid that people like me with tickets booked 2 months in advance are waiting 2 hrs to be able to enter. It is poorly organised
