Very clear explanation from our tour guide Flower. She was very accommodating as struggled to receive messages via free WiFi from our hotel. The only thing I would advise, if you don’t have WeChat or Alipay, you must ensure you have enough cash when you go on this tour,. We decided to add cable car rides on the day which we paid for by cash but didn’t have enough cash to buy the pictures. On a positive note, I guess it made me spend less!

Despite the heavy rain, everything was fine. A 10-course dinner on paper sounded tempting in fact, the cafe was scented by the fact that it did not enter dinner. They brought one plate of meat and a bowl of rice in the spring, and that's it, the rest is also more expensive for their money than in Beijing. She didn't try to see the guide Flower.

Full description

Explore the most well-known and preserved section of the Great Wall in Mutianyu. This section is a UNESCO heritage site has appeared in some Hollywood movies and has been climbed by former US President Barack Obama.

Depart from Beijing at your hotel at around 7 AM with a shared pick-up or meet at the downtown station at around 8 AM. Head to Mutianyu with a convenient air-conditioned transfer. Arrive in Mutianyu at around 9-9:30 AM. Take amazing photos of the Mutianyu Wall from multiple angles - either down from the hill or up from the wall if you purchase the admission ticket option.

Then, challenge yourself with a 5-6km hike from the bottom to the top of the highest station which was once a beacon. Or take an easier route with the cable car option so that you can ascend the later half directly. Enjoy around 3-3.5 hours to explore by yourself.

Include authentic Chinese lunch at around 12:30 PM just next to the parking lot. After finishing lunch, the bus will take you back to the famous shopping street near Wangfujing in the heart of Beijing city. You will be back to downtown beijing around 4:30 -5:30 pm.
