This full-day tour of Beijing includes visits to Tian'anmen Square, the Forbidden City, and Mutianyu Great Wall.
What to Expect
Travelers will be picked up from different hotels between 7:00 and 8:00am. Afterwards, the tour will start at Tiananmen Square, the largest square in the world. Then, proceed to the Forbidden City, the largest and best preserved ancient imperial palaces group with 500 years of history. Visit the Forbidden City along the central axis from south to north for 2-hours.
After visiting the Forbidden City, shop at a jade carving factory. Jade carving is a famous local product, not only for the excellent carving skills, but it also mixes many traditional Chinese cultures into the carving.
After lunch, visit Mutianyu Great Wall for about 2-hours. Mutianyu Great Wall is known for its beautiful surroundings of dense woods and rich pastures which change colors with the seasons. If you want to reach the highest point, a cable car is a good optional choice.
Finally, you will return to downtown Beijing and pass by the Olympic Stadium with a distant view of both the Bird's Nest and Water Cube. Then, you will have a chance to enjoy traditional Chinese silk arts. Transfer back to your hotel at around 5:00 - 6:00pm.
