Fichtelgebirge: snowshoe hike

Fichtelgebirge: snowshoe hike

With snowshoes it goes through the snowy Fichtelgebirge. Experience the styles and beauty of nature off the trail. Anyone who has experienced the magic of a snowy winter landscape in Bischofsgrün away from the trampled paths knows that snowshoeing is far more than trudging through cold white: the thoughts of everyday life become quiet and soft feelings of security. Nature and weather remind you to humility and awe, which costs the body strength, but the richer but gives the mind. Senses earlier days awakening and moving a barely definable attitude to life in vibration that you no longer want to miss afterwards. And then the return: drunk a cup of tea or hot chocolate, and every fiber of the body is recorded by deep heat. A strange type of fatigue captures the body, which reconciles you in an indescribable way. Come to a special adventure at dusk with the snowshoe hiker Klaus Hübsch to Bischofsgrün. The tour has a length of approx. 5 km and is suitable for beginners. The starting point is bishop's green or foot of the Ochsenkopf. The meeting point is in Bayreuth or directly in the Fichtelbreige. On the way there is a short break with meals.

The young, nice woman (a teacher by profession) did a very good tour. She answered all the questions of the almost 20 participants. You could learn a lot about the history of Bayreuth. I also enjoyed climbing the castle tower at the end of the tour with its wonderful view over the city. Definitely highly recommended.

The tour guide was excellent. He had an encyclopedic knowledge of Bayreuth and took pleasure in enlightening us. I really had to concentrate. It was a lot to digest but I learned a lot. Highly recommended.

There were two of us with the scout. We therefore had plenty of opportunities to ask questions, which the guide always answered competently. We would be happy to do it again anytime!
