It is a former maximum-security prison similar to "Alcatraz. It was built in the 19th century as a military base and it was used as a prison during a 2nd world war by Italians. The prison is now abandoned and has gained a reputation as a haunted location. Some people have reported hearing strange noises and seeing ghostly apparitions within its walls. After Mamula Prison our last attraction is a Blue Cave. It is a natural sea cave which is known for its unique blue light effect, which is created by sunlight reflecting off the white sandy bottom of the cave and through the crystal clear water. The most impressive part of the mausoleum is the chapel which has 6 sides, and the beautiful ceiling covered with over 200,000 gilded tiles creating a fascinating mosaic.  • Then, enjoy a 1-hour walking tour through Cetinje, visiting its main sights, such as Cetinje Monastery where several relics are kept including the remains of St. Peter of Cetinje, particles of the True Cross, and the Icon of the Philermos Mother of God along with many more. The boat trip was fantastic. Sasha, our guide, was helpful, without being pushy and allowed us to swim in the Blue Grotto. It was a beautiful sunny day. A bit of chop on the water but it was well managed by the driver.

The best use of 3 hours on a sunny day. Brilliant views, lovely experience. Want to keep coming back.
