Overall rating
It was a really informative and enjoyable time to vividly experience the bathing culture of the Roman era. Looking at the hot spring water in the middle of the Roman columns, I felt like I was traveling to the past. My 8-year-old son also enjoyed the tour without getting bored while listening to the audio guide. The admission fee is a little more expensive than other museums, but the quality of the exhibits, including the audio guide, was good, so it was worth the money. When we went, we couldn't sample the hot spring water, and since we forgot to bring two earphones, my husband used the audio guide without the earphones, but it wasn't too inconvenient. If you want to tour more leisurely, I recommend going right after opening time (9 AM).
I had trouble finding the pick up location from the train but locals helped direct me and once I found it, I went around with a faulty headset. The driver gave me a working one. I loved all the info once I could hear it. Very nice place to visit with authentic beautiful sites. I had to plot my own way to and from the train in Southampton station as no tours were available. I am appreciative of the train and Bath people that assisted me.
The tour was very fun and also informative about Bath’s history and stories. The tour guide’s way of explaining these haunted stories were was very funny. As a family of three, we all enjoyed it despite the cold weather. The end was also very scary I have to admit because we got to see the place of the dead bride! 😁😊👍😱🤠👽👻
we thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Simon. Simon was very friendly had excellent knowledge and was whimsical. The tour covered all the main attractions of bath with some great stories of the people behind them. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough.
Ghost Tour with Mr. Skinner is a must-do when you visit Bath. He kept the group well entertained throughout the tour and regaled us with some very good stories.
